Field Trips

Field Trips Offer Fun and Learning! Booking a Field Trip at LaunchPAD. To schedule a field trip, please call 712-224-2542.

  • Cost

    Beginning 7/1/2023, Field trip cost is $7 per child (teachers and chaperones are free). This is a 50% discount from $14 daily admission. Family memberships do not apply towards field trips. Groups not requiring a classroom will receive a $1 discount per student. 

  • Scheduling

    Field trips can be scheduled in two hour increments Tuesday-Friday beginning at 9 a.m. Lunch time (30 minutes) may be included in the time. Field trips with 40 or more students are recommended to book on Tuesdays. Visits must be booked at least two weeks in advance. 

  • attendees

    Minimum of 10 students; maximum is 100 students. LaunchPAD reserves the right to limit the number of field trips and students per day.

    Must have at least a 1:8 ratio of adults to children.

  • Toy store

    Retail items ranging from $1 and up will be available for students to purchase from LaunchPAD’s Odyssey Toy Store. Chaperones are asked to hold on to student's money while in the museum and be present when purchases are made.

Due to space and time constraints, field trips will not be permitted in the LaunchPAD Lab or classroom programming.
