Volunteer

LaunchPAD welcomes friendly volunteers, age 10 and older, who appreciate the power of play and enjoy interacting with children and families. LaunchPAD currently has both ongoing and special volunteer opportunities available. LaunchPAD is also a fun place for groups or organizations to volunteer together. Hours are available Monday-Sunday during museum hours.

On-Going Volunteer Opportunities

  • Exhibit Floor

    Reset exhibits and help clean up exhibit area.

  • Time & Talents

    Choose a period of time during business hours to share your special talent with our visitors. (Ex. Singing, dancing, juggling, storytelling, play instrument, craft, etc.)

  • Playologist

    Engage with guests, help with crafts and other various activities, and help facilitate meaningful play-based learning.

Special Event Volunteer Opportunities

  • Holiday Festivals

    Help LaunchPAD celebrate special events, such as LightUp LaunchPAD, Halloween, and other special events as they come up.

Volunteer Qualifications

  • Committed to volunteering 24 hours in a 12 month period. (equivalent to 2 hours per month)

  • 10 years or older

  • Fun, enthusiastic, creative.

  • Willing to work with children, parents, staff, and other volunteers.

  • Reliable and Flexible

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Willing to attend a 2-3 hour volunteer training session/orientation and complete an application and background check.
